Another colorful late summer event took place in Vienna as renowned Filipino painter TOMMY AQUINO mentored interested children and adults on the use of watercolor, oil and pastel, acrylic and mixed media during the Free Painting Workshop – Art and Fun Day with Kuya Tommy, on September 14, 2019 held at the KSV Sport- und Seminarzentrum, Prater, Vienna, Austria.
The hall was filled with art-loving both Filipino and foreign participants. Everyone was very thankful for the chance to be guided by the „master painter“ himself, Tommy „Picasso“ Aquino. All participants had been awarded a certificate of participation handed personally by the painter.
The event is also a chance to help the charity works of Mr. Tommy Aquino which is the Visions of Hope, a ministry involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of street children in the Philippines.
Having a deep love and compassion for the marginalized Filipino children, Tommy wishes to be a blessing to them through his paintings.
Tommy had been conducting a series of highly successful exhibits in Austria and in some Asian countries, and in the East and West coasts of the United States.
He did exhibits in Busan, Korea World Fair, London Art Fair and in Shanghai.
Tommy has earned the name “Picasso,” since most of his paintings belong to the genre and style of famous Pablo Picasso. His masterpieces, “The Blond Hair Woman” and “The Heart, Body and Soul,“ have been receiving positive impressions among art circles from all over the world.
Included in Tommy’s art catalogue of paintings are landscapes and seascapes that are underlined by radiant and lively disposition.
Tommy migrated to Austria in 1999, and happily married to the lovely Katherine Sudaria, a nurse and an established singer in Austria.
