Beginnings

John and Marijo Eleazar knew each other since childhood. They visited the same kindergarten, primary and secondary schools in Cainta, Rizal. John joined his mother in Austria when he was 17 years old.  Marijo continued her studies in the University of the Philippines, where she finished Bachelor of Science in Tourism.  She took entrepreneurship and management courses in Master on Strategic Management at the University of Innsbruck.

Career Shift

John took up Human Medicine at the University of Innsbruck. During his medicine years, he got the inclination to audio-visual arts. His curiosity led him into learning more about film techniques, leaving his medicine course.

Contented

The cinematographer-couple considers videography as an art to draw through the use of their lenses and cameras.  The two contend that there is a deeper meaning of their work, since it captures moments and emotions for a lifetime.

Success for the couple is the happiness and contentment they feel after achieving their simple goal in life, which is to inspire and to bring value to people .

“You will not be successful if you are not satisfied in simple things. In this business, money is not the only measurement of success. It is only secondary. Satisfying customers and clients is a top priority and a sign of success for us. I don’t consider myself one of a kind videographer or apart from other good ones. The only thing that I’m sure is that, my heart is really into this business,” John said.

“We are very passionate in what we do. As husband and wife team, we are strengthened by our similarities and differences. We have different roles but always of the same task – to deliver compelling films,” Marijo affirmed her husband’s philosophy.

marijo3At the moment, the husband and wife team are very much involved in making dynamic wedding films.  They are working together with prominent Austrian and international wedding planners and luxury event designers, who eventually recommend their excellent films to their clients. They have just recently returned from the USA to collaborate with Preston Bailey, the top event designer based in New York. Through this project, John and Marijo also had the opportunity to connect with other luxury planners in the USA, such as those whose notable clients include the Obama Family, Rockefeller Family, and also other celebrities and the royal families from the Middle East.

John and Marijo are officially registered in Austria with their company name ELEAZARFILM. The company is also recognized as a Certified Austrian Film Producer by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

ELEAZARFILM aims to provide creative documentary-style short-films for businesses and people who have story to tell. The couple’s core focus is to capture moments, milestones, people and relationships.

Armed by their wide array of international exposures in the field of visual art, made possible through their lenses, Marijo and John elaborated the core values of their work.

Core Values

The couple maintains that mutual respect is an important foundation for  any endeavor.

„We respect diversity, opinions, religion, culture and traditions. We acknowledge the unique strengths and weaknesses of every individual. We work best with people who respect our advocacies,“ John relates.

marijo1The two strive to give value in all the things they do. They assert that they neither engage in task that delivers no value to their clients nor engage with people who only get but never give something valuable in return.

„We operate with passion and perseverance to achieve our long term goals. There’s no such thing as impossible to do. If there’s a will, there’s a way. If we are passionate about the work, we deliver. When we are not, we just don’t do it. We give more than what is expected,“ John muses.

Resourcefullness and creativity are also seen in their work as professional videographers. The couple contend that they are master storytellers and could adapt themselves to every situation.

„When it rains, we work with an umbrella. When we feel lost, we find our way. We look for different ways to solve a problem,“ Marijo added.

Marijo and John nurture relationships with their clients and everyone they work with. „We ask them how they are. We congratulate them when they achieved a milestone. We do not expect anything in return,“ John explained.

Marijo and John have gone a long way and have achieved some of their goals. Nevertheless, the young couple remain humble and want to inspire other people through their work – to inspire to dream, to commit, to love, to work hard and to be confident.
