September  10, 2017 – Austria –  “Wir in Ottakring und Penzing” was also the motto of the Integration Festival held at the square infront of the U3 underground train station Ottakring.

The Kapunungan ng mga Bisaya sa Austria (KBA)  joined the celebration. Some members of the club’s Dance Troupe rendered philippine folk dances.

Another weekend event participated in by a Filipino group in St. Pölten, Lower Austria   was the “Fest der Begegnung”.

People of different origins, skin color and nations presented their music, dance and culinary specialties.

Janet Heiss, leader of the Philippine Association in Niederösterreich posted the event on her Facebook wall, wherein the group actively joined the celebration.

Primary objective of these events is primarily to bring the many cultures and people living in the city closer together.

An organizer  publicly affirmed and recalled an old biblical demand not only to love the neighbor, but also the stranger, and to incorporate him into the community.

“This requirement should apply in Austria, Europe and all over the world,” the organizer said.
