„Servus Pinoy“ is an e-magazine that illustrates the different stories of Filipinos working and living in Austria and those non-Filipinos and friends of the Philippines and the Filipino culture who have have travelled and lived in the Philippines.
Arlene Castañeda, founder of Sentro ng Kultura at Wika ng Austria at Pilipinas contends that „Servus Pinoy“ chronicles the experiences and shares the personal perspectives of the magazine’s contributors in all its complexity.
The well planned categories and corresponding stories included in the e-magazine show that Filipinos have so much to offer to each other and to their new home – Austria. On the other hand, the articles included in the opening salvo of „Servus Pinoy“ reminds us of the wonderful Filipino culture and their great potential as a people.
In general, this unique community e-magazine aims to uplift the morale and the image of Filipinos living in this part of Europe.
„Servus Pinoy“ is not only an e-magazine, but also a global plaza for sharing ideas, creative works and opinions veering off the usual media fare of gossip, scandals, sensationalism and materialism.
Through this initiative the Sentro ng Kultura at Wika ng Austria at Pilipinas provides a platform to showcase the creativity and talents of the Filipinos and Austrian friends.
