Through art Tommy Aquino, a known painter in Vienna calls for unity and interaction among Filipinos in Austria. The painter emphasizes his call during his last painting exhibition held in Vienna’s19th District.
Aquino displayed his art works inspired by the famous Spanish painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso. Through this, Aquino aims to bring the Filipino culture to Europe and Filipinos on the other hand would appreciate the richness of the European culture.
Friends and guests, who attended the Art Exhibition appreciated the works of Aquino.
“Now it captures me Tommy and his arts, it is a transition from being a Filipino in the Philippines and being a Filipino in Europe added to that now his Picasso style coming in. I honor Tommy for bridging that gap, for bringing Europe to the Filipinos and for bringing the Philippines to Europe. This is our only weapon against all the negative stuffs and turbulences going on around us,” Mae Cayir, Filipino working at the United Nations here commented.
Aquino plans to stage his Art Exhibition not only in Vienna but also in other parts of Austria and Europe.
