The Novo Ecijanos in Austria and their guests celebrated on April 2, 2016 the 14th anniversary of the Association of Novo Ecijanos in Austria (ANEA). The event was held at the Pfarre zu den Heiligen Aposteln, Salvatorianer Platz 1, 1100 Vienna.
The program for the celebration included a recount of the 14-year history of the ANEA, including the achievements and programs for the benefit of their fellow Filipinos in the province.
Delivering the welcome remark, ANEA leader Nilo Trinidad, thanked the people who are regularly supporting the projects of the organization.
Newly arrived Consul of the Philippine Embassy Ms. Leilani S. Feliciano also addressed the audience, greeting the ANEA officers and members on the milestone anniversary of the association.
“I would have to say that this event is very special for me. I just arrived barely two weeks ago and this is the first event that I have ever been invited to,” the new consul said.
Consul Feliciano also congratulated the Novo Ecijanos in Austria for their steadfast efforts to provide outreach services to fellow Novo Ecijanos back home through their medical and dental missions, housing projects, nutrition and feeding programs, educational to poor but deserving students and financial assistance to victims of natural calamities in the Philippines.
ANEA President, Amando “Dingboy” Ortiz expressed his thanks to the Filipino Community and the Philippine Embassy for being supportive of the organization’s activities and for attending their anniversary celebration. He expressed the commitment of his officers and members to do their best to achieve the goals and objectives of ANEA.
A sample of world-class song and dance was presented by the talented members of ANEA, who dazzled the audience with their fast steps and graceful movement.
