On the 23th of April 2016, the Vienna International Center Club Filipino (VIC CF) hosted its third annual A Spring to Remember Charity Dinner and Dance to raise funds and awareness for the St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research Institute and St. Anna Children’s Hospital. The event was held at the Hilton Danube Waterfront Hotel, 1020 Vienna.
With more than 100 guests attending the event, including high profile diplomats professionals, the event was a huge success. As soon as they arrived, guests were treated to a night of luxury. Cocktails and live musical entertainment made the night one to remember.
Ms. Miriam de la Cruz, President of VIC CF thanked everyone for their support. Benefiting the St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research Institute and St. Anna Children’s Hospital, everyone’s generosity and kindness made a world of difference to the lives of the children affected by such illness.
Ms. Andrea Prantl, representative St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research Institute and St. Anna Children’s Hospital, elaborated the activities and programs of the institute. She likewise expressed her gratitude to the officers and members of VIC CF for initiating the benefit gala.
Philippine Ambassador to Austria Maria Zeneida Angara Collinson also graced the occasion. She likewise inducted the new officers of the club.
Outgoing president Marizel Rojas thanked her fellow officers and members for their commitment to the organization and execution of the event, contributing a great deal to its overall success.
The goal of the VIC Club Filipino is to encourage cooperation and camaraderie among its members, particularly in promoting its objectives, to foster fellowship between its members and the society at large by enhancing appreciation of Philippine culture and its place in the world; to support charities and civic activities especially related to the aforementioned objectives, and to collaborate and establish link with organizations, particularly in the Philippines, involved in international development and cooperation.
