A man from Klosterneuburg, Lower Austria has been shot in the Philippines on Saturday, August 8, 2015.  The Austrian Foreign Office in the Philippines   confirmed the report, which also came out in several online news sites. The 48-year-old was working as hotel manager there.

The bloody crime was committed in Bolod on the island of Panglao, Philippines.  The Klosterneuburger was riding on his motorcycle when unknown perpetrators  fired  shots. The hotel manager was hit in the head, ORF News reported.

Values disappeared

The hotel manager was taken to the hospital, however, the doctors  could no longer save him. About 400 euros in cash, the mobile telephone, credit cards and his Austrian passport were stolen from the victim.

According to the post-mortem examination the man has been killed by a shot in the head. Since his valuables have disappeared, authorities assume of a rob out killing. According to the Foreign Ministry Office, the Austrian authorities are in contact with the authorities in the place of the crime and presses for a quick examination.
